Peter has significant experience in the private equity sector, as a venture capitalist investing in technology companies, as a board member of private and public companies, and as a director of investment funds and fund-of-funds.

Allen has over 25 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, public offerings and mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to forming Campton Private Equity Advisors, he was the Director, Business Development, head of the US office and member of the Board of Directors of global private equity fund-of-funds manager VenCap International plc.

Previously, he was an Executive Director in the Telecommunications Investment Banking Group at Bear, Stearns & Co. and before that a Director in the Media and Telecommunications Group at CIBC World Markets. Prior to his career in investment banking, Allen was a corporate finance attorney with Morgan, Lewis & Bockius and with Buchalter, Nemer, Fields & Younger, specializing in private equity and venture capital transactions, public offerings and mergers & acquisitions.

Allen received an MBA from The Anderson School at UCLA, a JD from UC Hastings College of Law, and a BA in Economics from UCLA.

Allen is a CFA Charterholder and a CAIA Charterholder.

David brings over 40 years of technology venture capital investing experience in the United States and in Europe. He is a director of Private Equity Investor plc, and is the Chairman of Abingworth, a UK-based venture capital firm, of which he was previously the Managing Director.

David is a former Chairman of the British Venture Capital Association and the UK Government’s Capital for Enterprise, and was awarded a Commander of the British Empire (CBE) in 2008 for services to the Venture Capital industry. He was a member of the Stock Exchange Smaller Companies Working Party, which led to the creation of AIM, and of H.M. Treasury Working Party on the Financing of High Technology Companies. David was co-author of the first ‘Guidelines for the Valuation and Disclosure of Venture Capital Portfolios’ and of the first ‘BVCA Performance Measurement Survey’ - now published annually. David was inducted to the Real Deals / BVCA Private Equity Hall of Fame in 2007.

Brian has a demonstrated track record of success as a CEO and corporate strategy executive across insurance, software and tech services, financial services and consumer retail. He is the President and CEO of Pacific Specialty Insurance Company.

Previously, he was the President and CEO of Clear Technology, Inc., a global software company serving the insurance and financial services industries. Brian was the Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Farmers Insurance and was the President of Farmers Financial Solutions LLC. 

Jim brings significant experience to the Campton team, as a venture capital and private equity principal and attorney, as a board member of private and public companies and as an international arbitrator with experience in commercial and intellectual property matters.

Kurt has an extensive background in technology, as a technology hedge fund manager, an equity research analyst and as a product manager in the technology industry. Kurt is a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Harvest Capital Strategies LLC, a San Francisco-based, SEC-registered investment adviser with approximately $1.3 billion in alternative assets under management.

Prior to joining Harvest, Kurt was a Senior Managing Director and senior equity research analyst at Banc of America Securities and its predecessor, Montgomery Securities, where he covered the PC and enterprise hardware sector. Before commencing his financial services career, Kurt spent nine years working in the technology industry at Toshiba America, Grid Systems and Xerox Corporation.

Steve has significant experience working with small and mid-sized businesses on transformational business strategies, including buy-side and sell-side mergers and acquisitions. He is the founder of The Waterfront Group, a business advisory firm. 

Previously he was a Managing Director of Mid-Cap Advisors, an investment banking firm, and prior to that held several senior business development roles at wireless telecommunications companies.
